UBC Media Group Website

UBC Media Group is a leading content creator and service provider for broadcasters and businesses, in the UK and worldwide. They commissioned us to build a digital platform to showcase each of the Group Companies and their work.

Objective

  • Deliver a highly scalable website that communicates the vast range of the group’s work
  • Ensure the site has the feel of a living and breathing entity, with the facility to add a broad range of content from a range of sources on a daily basis

Solution

  • A fully content managed website enabling each of the group companies to add case studies, rich media, news stories and more on a daily basis
  • A unique structure designed to accommodate each of the UBC Media Group company websites alongside the parent group site. The architecture enables each of the group sites to be added individually, and to function independently of the parent site without compromising on user experience
  • Media content can be added to any page, with video delivered through YouTube Chromeless player. This enables the team to easily add HD video which is embedded through a fully branded player
  • Each company has a series of feeds they can update, including case studies, news and their own Twitter feed. These are featured within their own site and are automatically aggregated on the group homepage
  • The website incorporates evocative photography by Rob Lawson, with the distinctive colouring of each image serving as a visual cue to aid navigation
  • The site is fully integrated with its own Über System, tailored to UBC’s unique requirements
  • All the site’s content is fully optimised for search, with special consideration given to how the individual group company search results are displayed in relation to the parent group

Success

  • With the launch of the Group Company website complete, we are working with UBC to roll out websites for each of its group companies over the coming months
  • These sites will replace their existing individual websites and will all sit within the same framework, delivering a fully integrated, seamless user experience
