A logo and visual identity applied to a stunningly designed, powerful and high-performing website for The Mountain Company, a premium adventure travel company specialising in holidays to the Himalaya.
Objective
Create a logo, visual identity and website that communicate the brand’s positioning as the specialists for adventure travel in the Himalaya. The Mountain Company wanted to build on their natural search listings, whilst dramatically improving the website user experience in order to deliver more bookings and more relevant enquires.
Solution
We created a marque and logotype based on a custom typeface designed specifically to communicate the brand’s positioning as the specialists in Himalayan adventure travel.
The website was developed following meticulous structural planning. We redesigned the architecture of the site to make finding the right holiday simple and intuitive. Bespoke search functionality was introduced alongside a sophisticated product structure. Context sensitive enquiry forms were introduced throughout the site, each tailored to ensure enquires were relevant and easy to complete.
Large scale in-page image galleries helped achieve maximum impact from the brand’s stunning photography. The galleries were complemented by highly crafted typography and clear, painstakingly designed information systems for the presentation of the often complex information, trek dates and itineraries.
Search Engine Optimisation was considered from the planning stage with the content and the website structure fully optimised for The Mountain Company’s search terms. An Über System gave The Mountain Company team complete control of the website content and imagery as well as a management reporting suite.
